Hey fellow Night Angel Trilogy fans, this is my first forum post, so please bear with me.
I was just re-reading Shadow's Edge and I completely forgot that Uly asked Kylar to marry her. I also realized she wasn't mentioned much at the end of Beyond the Shadows.
So here's the discussion topic: What do you think happens to Uly in the future? i.e. With Durzo still around, does their relationship improve? Does anything special develop between Kylar and her? Do her supposed amazing potentials in the Chantry come to fruition? Any other ideas you've all had?

That's something I was a little stuck on. Would Kylar hook up with anyone in the future now that Elene's gone? It looked like something was going to happen between Vi and him, but I can't picture his loyalties straying from Elene, even if she's passed. I can kinda picture as Uly gets older she just has one of those constant homorous crushes on Kylar.

Really? Nothing serious, just like the annoying little girl thing who always gets googly eyed whenever he's in the room. Who knows? Maybe she'd mature out of it. How do you think Ky;ar's relationship status will end up?

I agree, I don't think Kylar would want to be in a relationship with anyone else, I see him ending up being secluded. But I can definentaly see Uly having a life long crush on Kylar haha. Her having a relationship with him could happen too though. We never know what's up Brent Week's sleeves....

Uly first thought Kylar was her father, then she got a older man/hero/father figure type crush that young girls have. Those are the crushes that people grow out of though.
Also throughout the series Kylar though of Uly as a daughter to him. Even near the end of the 3rd book he says something along the lines of: "I'm such bad father". So to be quite honest thought of them having a relationship is like incest and sickening for me at least.

Huh, I never actually considered it from his standpoint. I couldn't picture them having a relationship anyway, just wondered if anyone else considered her future in general.

I can see Kylar eventually hooking up with Vi. I mean he was able to hear her thoughts and get to know her and what she went through for him and what she had to do to give her hold on him when she loved him so much. i think he will definitely come around to her now that he respects her as well as is attracted to her.
As far as Uly, I think she is going to have a relationship with one of the twins, either Kylar's or Dorian's son. There will be a 12 yr age difference there but it will happen.
Since Momma K became a queen, Uly is a princess now, and will have that power as well as talent, will she be a good guy or will she turn bad guy with all the people leaving her in her life, will she be bitter. I hope this all gets addressed in the next triology!

I don't think she became a queen, but i'm pretty sure Logan gave her a small part of Cenaria to rule. I could be wrong though

Wasn't she hinted as being queen of Alitaerian.

I thought that the wolf said that Kirena would become the queen of Cenaria and rule better than any King or Queen in history. Logan will rule from the new Elene city, and can rule Cenaria anymore by himself due to his increase responsibilities as High King. So he must appoint someone else , the obvious choice being Momma K.
