Audible.com has the audiobooks available for download in mp3 format. We found the cd's and downloadable option on amazon.uk, so it looks like you're in luck!

Amazon shows them as being available between now and september.

Now my turn... who's reading them, do you know? AMazon does't say and I heard a snippet of the US version. Would hope they get someone else for the UK one.

The voice actor reading the books is Paul Boehmer through Tantor media. I am certain that it is the same recording sold in the US and UK.

It probably will be but might not be. After all Stephen Fry doesn't read the US versions of the Harry Potter books. :) I just listened to a bit and found his voice quite distracting. It's not his accent or anything like that, it's something else. He sort of has a sing-song tone going on with his voice and at times his reading seemed quite emotionless, like he didn't know where to put cadences of the sentence.

But, as I said, I've only listened to a little bit, not a great deal. :)

not to bash or anything. i listend to a preview of the first on amazon. was going to order it to listen to while i drove to work. hour comute every day and what not.

tbh the guy reading them just seemed like he had never read them b4 he was putting enffisis on wrong parts of words and pausing at random parts of a sentence. i mean im not saying i my self could have done better but i have heard better speakers for other books.

personally just seems like a disservice to an amazing book/books.

i was listening to the un abridged version i believe so maybe another version sounds different i dont know.

the second book did seem to sound a bit ... smoother i guess.

hopefully im not the only one with this opinion or ill feel like quite a tool lol.

why couldn't they get Morgan Freeman to read the audio books haha that would have been awesome!

No I felt that too. His cadences seemed off to me in what I heard, his emphasis was on the wrong parts of the sentence. However - when you read a book yourself you put your OWN emphasis on things as you read. If Mr Weeks had any input into the recording, he may have been able to direct Boehmer as to where he wanted him to emphasise things.
