For fans of The Night Angel Trilogy and fantasy author Brent Weeks

Many characters come and go in all of the books, and I was just wondering who your favorite characters are.

Mine are Durzo and Vi.

I just finished the first, and my favorite characters are Durzo and Jarl

I would have to say Durzo, in his Ymmuri self I loved that when he saved Elene. And well he was just a well put together character who felt realer than the others. A seven hundred years of mistakes and then one left to spend as a loving husband and father, figure and otherwise. The I woulds have to say Count Drake for his strange god loving-ness. He was just a good character and he loved Kylar all the way through even though he was the reason the Drake family was killed.

And Kylar kicked ass as well, like when he charged through the Seraph.
And I have to say Gnasher was awesome as well, he was like a dog, protecting Logan no matter what.
And yeah I liked some more but you know lol.

1) Durzo. Truly awesome and reliable.
2) Vi. Awesome and not recognised for it.
3) Kylar. Not a whimpy character as the main role for once.
4) Jarl. Was an awesome guy up until ... You know what. (for spoilers)
5) Blue. That kid was cool. It's also my secondary internet name :D.
6) Momma K. Not much appearance, but a good character.

Least favourite in any order:

Elene. Too protected.
Logan towards the end. Out of touch with reality and into more law. Predictable from the start.
The speaker for the chanty. I forget the name. I don't know why, I just didn't like her.

Durzo, he is the man that can do it all. he came back from the dead even without the Ka'kari and everything he can do makes him practically a god. Who turns into a Giant bird that takes out a titan to save Kylar from dying. he is hands down favorite.

k, my faves in the order i think of them (excluding main characters kylar and durzo):

- elene
- vi (last half of beyond the shadow really brought her into a better light for me)
- jarl - THE best character in the book i reckon
- scarred wrable
- blue
- gnasher
- count drake
- feir and solon

least favourite:

- dorian. however i still enjoyed reading him - he is least favourite only because i got a bit sick of his fall.
- the godking and roth/rat - i'm sick of pure evil in a book, and evil for evil's sake. rah, rah, rah, evil is bad, but it's a very one-sided journey for me if the only ones doing the growing and having a story are the "good guys"...

hi, im new to all this, i just finished the trilogy last night and read all your comments and i have to say i agree with Elike... Elene was holding Kylar back. he was pretty much chained the whole time he was with her. he wasnt allowed to truely be himself, she was trying to change who he was instead of accepting him as he was, which i believe is what true love really means... accepting the other person for all their flaws, just the way they are. needless to say, i didnt much like Elene. and the entire time i was reading, all i was thinking was "Kylar! you should be with Vi! she would accept you as you are and not try to change who you are! she would understand you better than anyone else!" again, needless to say, i was very happy with the ending.

Durzo... ah, Durzo... need i say more?

the Ka'kari was hilarious, had me in stitches.

Jarl... poor Jarl. he was an inspiration and i was sorely upset at his passing... i kept thinking they'll find a way to bring him back, he was too good a character.

Logan was brave and a fit king, i would have liked Lantano more if he hadnt been so bent on killing himself for no good reason. i agreed with Feir's comment. true bravery and honour lies in saving thousands rather than being selfish and killing them all.

Feir was a great character, Solon i liked but disliked how he needed Kaede's permission to go save Lantano. that irritated me.

Dorian, im sorry to say, pissed me off. i didnt mind him so much up until Jenine. i cant believe he did that to her when she deserved to know about Logan. although i must say, he redeemed himself 100% at the end.

ive already spoken way too long though i have much more to say...
but i just have one question...

what happened to Kaldrosa Wyn, Tomman, ULY (very curious about what happened to her) and all the others who were not mentioned at the end?
and we never found out Logan's reaction to Kylar's return from death...
and did Durzo keep his Dehvirahaman ko Bruhmaeziwakazari facade till the end? (i didnt even have to look his name up in the book...sad...)
