And besides it would be pretty easy to kill kylar... Burn all the books!!!... Or, do the whole "LOOK OUT BEHIND YOU!" Kick him in the nuts when he turns to look, and then fall to your knees sobbing like a little girl.

It works everytime.....

Kylar reminds me of a bread loaf. His dilemma reminds me of the Edge of the earth. And his ineptitude reminds me that I should be making breakfast for tomorrow...

I beg to differ, though I admit it is difficult. To kill an idea you have to first kill every person to have formed it or had it shared with them. You then have to kill the culture that formed the language it was formed from. You then have to destroy all knowledge of that culture and language. And finally, you have to exert control over all contemporary cultures, limiting their forms of speech to those that cannot express the idea.

If you want a good look at this, read George Orwell's 1984.

0_0 that book freaks me out sooooo much...the beginning is rather boring but then the end BLOWS YOUR MIND...yeah.

I shudder when I think of it. Ugh. ~shudders~

It's a good book, though.

not to mention an attempt at doing this would mean wacking yourself too, for having any knowledge of the culture and language, which would mean in L.G.'s words you would need a second, who too would need a second because of their recent knowledge, who too would.. etc.

Easy, to prove that I could kill Kylar. It's simple really. Sheesh.

Except in the end wouldn't you have to kill yourself to keep from accidentally starting the idea up again.... even if you just talk in you sleep or something?

I don't think you can actually do it - it would at least be reborn anyway - waste of time.

Granted, it'd take a lot of time, power, and energy.... something along the lines of a greater Artifact. And you'd also have to kill the idea of yourself. Your persona, your mannerisms, even the fact of your existence would have to be expunged. You'd need to become a shadow, existing forever unseen at the edge of society, monitoring its development and ensuring that such development met with your own goals. To do that you'd need to train for years in the arts of obfuscation, deception, and stealth.... and you'd need a weapon of great power to enforce your will upon the world.

...
.....
....... *looks at the above paragraph*
Well, F#@!.
