The Official Brent Weeks Network

For fans of The Night Angel Trilogy and fantasy author Brent Weeks

Dear Mr. Weeks,

I'm contacting you to notify you that I will be taking legal action against you and that my attorney's will be contacting you shortly. Since purchasing Way of the Shadows, I have been seriously deprived of sleep as I have devoured all three book in span of seven days. Because of this, I have been somewhat sluggish, hermetic, and I have consumed large amounts of caffeine which are temporarily affecting my sleep patterns.

My actions for recourse are simply this.....

Hurry up and write you next works ASAP. I can't wait to read your next story whatever it may be.

Well done sir! Well done!

I agree! I have read it twice thus far and I will probably be reading it again for a third time, probably in January! (I'm trying to get into A Game of Thrones after nomming upon The Black Magician Trilogy by Trudi Canavan - I need more book options!)

If you're suing Mr. Weeks, I'll be his defense attorney.

And defend him poorly.

What? Haven't you guys learned anything from the series? If we are to successfully sue Mr. Weeks due to the lack of sleep, among other things, he's inflicted upon us with his incredibly amazing book, then we should attack from all sides. So, who wants to be the judge and jury? Any Momma K's running around?

I was unlucky enough to have been laid off from my job and was looking for something long to read, so I picked up the trilogy. So because I had no job interfering with my reading, I was "lucky" to be free to finish the series in three days. Even though it was quite long, I couldn't put it down and ruined my plans. Maybe I can sue over that?

I suffered similar, but not identical symptoms. I struggled to stop reading even to eat. It always took me a couple of hours after I got really hungry and thought "I should probably eat now" before I could bear to tear myself away from the books. Even then, I ate as quickly as possible, and then went straight back to reading once I was done (I didn't read while I was eating as I didn't want to risk marring the paper in any way).
Shotgun Judge. That way I get to decide his sentence, so I can make him write whatever I want him to (a history of A. Thorne from the perspective of various members of The Circle, perhaps? Or a follow up trilogy? The possibilities are endless...).
Now we just need an unbiased (or rather, not) jury. I am willing to perform both roles if need be.
