Is anyone working on their own art/novel/creation - can you share?

I'm sure there are others who have dreamed of their own plots and story devices. I've always tried to keep my 'amazing' ideas to myself, so I can't ask anyone to share their best, but if you feel like giving a short glimplse into one of your own creations, please share.

There's actually a novel where this happened... Damn if I can remember the name. But in it, several countries have a glitch that shows other countries have fired nuclear weapons at them and they have to decide whether to counterstrike or not. Most of them have verbal communication that there's no incoming, but then they don't believe it, and they of course want to fire before it's too late to fire.... massive arguments... do we risk a worldwide nuclear strike if one hasn't already been initiated?

Now I HAVE to go figure out what book it was......

I have a bunch of world building links on my other computer I'll post for you. They're great help in seeing things about you're world that you haven't before.

I normally end up making map after map, cities, land, etc that helps me see what I need to write, even if I feel like it might end up a little light.

Besides, it's easy to spot the difference, Kiwis sound daft when they talk - think South Africans trying to sound English.

They don't invade. They sneak in quietly and take over without you ever putting up a fight. Most of our best artists and actors are from Canada - lol

Ha ha - my family is such a mix I can't tease anyone - We've got Scots, Irish, English, (yeah, those all blend well - no wonder I'm confused a lot - lol) French, Native American, and German all within the last five generations .... Then, in the most recent generation we've got relationships that include Mexican, African American, Japanese, and Spanish.

The funny part is that the arguments are never over race, but do NOT get them started on religion.... In actuality, there's not that much difference between the practices of Catholics and Baptists, but damn if they aren't worlds apart :).

And I'd say it's a bigger insult to be confused for an American :-P
