Sa'Ceurai: what do you think they look like?

ive been waitin for someone to do some form of fan art for a Sa'Ceurai, but im tired of waiting :/


i need a little help though, i dont remember them that much and i want to know where i can find any descriptions of what they look like (especially their hair) i got a general idea of something down on paper, but i dont think its gonna work.. seeing how i wanna focus on the hair lol

I don't think there was ever a solid description about their hair except for the fact that they braided their kill's hair into theirs. I kinda saw them with black hair as a base and lots of different colors of hair braided in....course now that I say that it sounds a little silly.

I imagined a cross between a Samurai and a Scottish Highlander.

i also thought of the highlander/samurai mix... i kinda gave a general look to it for the clothes (more trying to see if stuff like this could work out for practical reasons) but i kinda just speedpainted so i could work out on the hair... and now that im there i dont know how to do it and i really dont wanna flip through the pages of the three books for it :(

black hair? hm... i also pictured red... never thought of it that way (gotta test it out now)

From what I call reading, I think they would look similar to a dwarf, didnt it say somewhere in shadows edge that they were short and stocky, also even though feir was a large man, the Sa'Ceurai refferred to him as a giant(That part I am positive of) So in short, and with concurrence to other posts, a short stocky samurai, and if you are doing fanart throw curoch in lol

dwarves? i never thought about that. it would mak sense with feir being a giant... but wouldnt that mean everyone else was a giant too?

oh and btw, who laughed when feir fainted during the examination of the curoch?

i had a norse look too, the whole idea of vikings are all about war. but i cant find anything real detailed about the norse clothing or armor- do you have any links for something like that?

ok, so what about their hair though? its definately not samurai-eque, seeing how they tie their fallen opponents' hair into theirs.
i totally forgot about the silk binding everything, im definately gonna draw another for their armor :/

from what I recall when they are like 12 or 14 they get one of those hair binding rings put in and then again when they have their first kill. Garuwashi's rings are right next to each other.
