Ok I finished The Blade Itself about three weeks ago.
I loved it in the end but it took about 100 pages for me to start to like it.
The second and third books just arrived but i am caught up in the Mistborn trilogy.

To add to my post:
Don't be put off by the cover of the Mistborn books.
The covers are... rather, pink?
They put me off at first but then I started reading and it was great.
Definitely an example of where the author had no input in the cover art. Sad...

Thank you Dune for the compliment. I love books so this is just Brent letting me run wild...which ROCKS!
For everyone:
If you haven't gotten HOOD by Stephen Lawhead or City Of Bones by Cassandra Clare...what are you waiting for?...both authors have agreed to answer questions...cross your fingers that I can keep getting them to play with us as Brent and I pick the rest of the books for the year!

I will give you a name of a book that will take away your breaths!

The name of the author is Boris Akunin, he is Russian and has made 12 books for the adventures of Fandorian, a Russian high soldier in the time of the Ottoman Empire. Books that will make you wonder till the last page and plot that will make you think. If you enjoyed reading the Night Angels Trilogy, you would also enjoy reading this.

I would like to suggest Karen Miller's, Empress book one of her Godspeaker Trilogy. She single-handedly got me back into reading fantasy after far too long away from the genre. After picking up her Kingmaker, Kingbreaker Book 1: The Innocent Mage I've been hooked. Either of those books would be a great book of the month. Thanks...

Did some searching about the book, read an extract and now it is on my "to read" list.
Thanks for the suggestion, sorry i can not contribute much to the thread yet.

You know I never used to judge book by covers, Brent Weeks Night Angel trilogy was the first ones I did that... the character just had me with the beautiful art.. I mean other books I've read (Wheel of Time, Belgariad, Dragon Lance, Forgotten Realms etc) they all had meh covers...

I was VERY pleased with the Night Angel Trilogy I loved it, and devoured it faster than my wife devoured Twilight!

Though I also peicked up Karen Miller Godspeaker book... I was less than thrilled with that book, in fact I've put it down and haven't picked it back up in a long while. I'm now reading The Summoner by Gail Z. Martin and I'm in love with that book! Another book that the cover caught my eye!!!
