The Official Brent Weeks Network

For fans of The Night Angel Trilogy and fantasy author Brent Weeks

As I know Brent and many others on the forum are gamers, I thought I would bring up some of my favorite video games (xbox360) that really compliment the Night Angel trilogy in my view and that bring to mind the feeling of the books for me:

Assassin's Creed - an obvious one...great game that really captures that assassin feeling in a fully realized world. Can't wait for Assassin's Creed 2 later this year.

Ninja Gaiden 2 - incredible action game -- the closest a game has come to how I imagine Kylar decimating foes....

Tenchu Z - another strong ninja game focusing on stealth and assassination in pursuit of justice.

Anyway, if you are into games and have not checked these out, I would recommend them! (particularly Ninja Gaiden 2)

Any others?

Also, Lucien LaChance just SCREAMS Durzo Blint at me. Don't know if anyone else agrees there though.

I'm thinking of starting with a text based game could be alright. Perhaps I'll give it a go, I've been creating a few text based games, I haven't gotten to the point where I'd shame myself by introducing it to the world, but what the hell.

I would obviously firstly need to read all three books, I finished with the first one yesterday, took me about 5 days, I was utterly wasted at work because of my lack of sleep and then I still neglected in my work so that I could read. So yes, I will definitely buy the next book with my next paycheck. Patience is a virtue they say.

Jazz, if you start the text based game I'm in for testing it... Count me in, please. Believe it or not, I like the text based games. Used to play them at college. They are more challenging since you have to read a lot, imagine what you are doing and top of all, remember all of the information (no guide)...

So, if you need a tester... You have one for sure here.... 8D

Finally... a Night Angel Game......

Aah thank you. :) I will of course firstly make one based on the first book, then when that's finished make another, based on the second book, Since I've only read the first book so far.

It will of course take a while to get my information right and if I do finish the project I'll be sure to let you test it first. Now I just need to find a proper program to do that. I have one already, but it doesn't have enough capabilities to do what I have in mind.

I think I'll get started today, I have the entire day off tomorrow so I should have enough free time.

I made a text based game on a book that I wrote, but I lost it all when my computer crashed, I started believing in back-ups on that very day.

Let me know when you finish.

What about the Thief series of games? (On PC) that's rather awesome and is based on sneaking around.

You're right. I forgot about that one. :/ Thief is a brilliant game.

i dont know if its been mentioned yet but mirrors edge definitely reminds me of Night Angels, the movement system, and also the story line of being the underground rebels against the overpowering government and such. All the other games i can think of have already been mentioned. however i gotta say if a game came out based on night angels it would be sweeeeet
but well see what happens i guess

I really wouldn't want a NA game. Half the fun is actually LIKEING the characters. Too many games have been "If this chick talks ONE more time I'm gonna...... WHY CAN'T I KILL HER!" And also, just because pretty much every book/movie turned video gaem has sucked won't mean this will. The problem is that we have expectations. We try and put our selves in that chars place. But, the game often will not.

whoa, a free roaming Night Angel game, like World of Warcraft, exept more lifelike would be awesome, and you could be a wetboy or a mage, or whatever. That would be sweet haha. Or if it was like Fable, that would be cool too
