The Official Brent Weeks Network

For fans of The Night Angel Trilogy and fantasy author Brent Weeks

This is my first discussion and i also just finished the first book and after logging on to this i've noticed ppl have been calling both durzo and kylar assassins if they were assassins i think durzo would have killed himself early on, the correct term for what they are is wetboy NOT assassin The Night Angel Trilogy Durzo: wetboy, Kylar: wetboy, Assassins Creed: Altair: assassin and if any of you have any other assassins you'd like to add to my list or wetboys to clarify the difference feel free i can't wait to get the other two books this series has to be one of the best i have ever read

Yeah, I gotta say, I doubt there can be too many names that would inspire less awe than wetboy. It just sounds awkward, and sorta... weak.

I think that the main difference is that "Wetboys" can use their talent, primarily for their line of work, while an assassin has only tools and skills. This would make many of the lowest wetboys better at killing than many of the top assassins (as seen in the sparring session between durzo and kylar, where kylar almost wins so Durzo uses his talent---at which point kylar is just an "assassin")
