The Official Brent Weeks Network

For fans of The Night Angel Trilogy and fantasy author Brent Weeks

The question is, you have written these truly amazing books and created some intense characters however these characters are (unfortunately) fictional and a product of your imagination. So I was just wondering what you thought about people making assumptions about who your characters are, what they represent and their prospective futures / pasts. Does it tick you off or does it bring a smile to your face when you see the destructive path your writing has taken through the minds of your fans? :D

Oh, and have you ever had teenage girls try and steal your clothes whilst you are wearing them after stepping of a plane or some such?

Good question. I am not sure about taking his clothes but if I ever did see him I want him to sign this journal I carry around for just an event. He's be the first to sign too. [hint hint Mr. Weeks: come to Fayetteville, N.C.; we have cookies] :3

Hearing that these stories live on in people's heads absolutely makes me smile. I love that! Heck, a lot of books, when you get done you just put it down and go, Meh, it was awright. When a book sticks with you, that's something special. So to get to be the guy who made a book that sticks with people is awesome--even if they get things wrong sometimes. More often, I'm thinking, oh, wait til you see what I've got cooked up next!

Um, yeah, definitely not had any odd clothing interactions. Maybe one or two authors get that sort of thing, but I think being in the dorky-fantasy-author class sort of keeps me safe from that. :)
