The Official Brent Weeks Network

For fans of The Night Angel Trilogy and fantasy author Brent Weeks

I've personally been through just about all of them, and love the way you describe action in your books. Check me out on youtube (kavoorka) if your expanded mind needs any ideas...; )

A little kung fu and more tae kwon do. Honestly, I'm not proficient. I wish I were. Someday, I'm going to get back into it.

Tae kwon Do huh....No wonder Durzo's kicks were so inhumanly powerful...I still love training in the Korean style of kicking even thou I've passed the 40 yaer old mark and warming up takes a bit longer....Your take on the Arts is refreshing through out the story..Keep up the excellent writing and I'll keep practicing my fireball technique (even if its only enough to get the BBQ started)
Take care..Tim

I'm presently doing a mixed martial art called Shinergy created by an Austrian here in Vienna.
It's a mixture of Tae Kwon Do, Muay Thai, Boxing, and Kung Fu.
The best thing is that the whole belt scam thing doesn't exist.
I did Tae Kwon do for a number of years and the belts and the yes master stuff can get a little draining.

I just started to learn Judo, and after I'm done that, I'm off to karate

I know parkour and have been practicing for over a year now. It's a flight over fight art designed for running from situations you cant handle. It incorporates different martial arts, dance, gymnastics, and more. Nowadays it's becoming a sport

Started off with judo at 6 years old, moved on to lau gar kung fu at 9 trained to first dan lvl , had a brief liason with shotokan at the same time and a spell of tae kwon , stepped up to gracie ju jitsu at 14 , later in life discovered jeet kune do , silat and kali , wish I had run into these arts a lot younger so I could of specialised, jeet kune do just makes so much sense to me as it trains things I have been thinking for years, I thought the martial writing by Brent had very much a silat feel to it
