Who would you cast in the movie versions of this awesome tale?

Okay so I have quite a few faces that come to mind for certain characters and it is mostly because I love these actors but also have followed their career long enough to know that they would breathe another level of life into this story.

Elene = Lindze Letherman
Vi = Eliza Dushku
Kylar = Jensen Ackles
Durzo = Ben Browder
Momma K = Claudia Black
Wolf = Michael Shanks
Logan = Jonas Armstrong
Sister Ariel = Catherine Tate
Solon = Maximilian Carlo "Max" Martini
Feir =
Dorian = David Tennant
Neph Dada = Alan Cummings
Jeni = Hannah Murray - I know she is 19 but she pulls of teenager---still looking for the right gal
Jarl =
Kaede = Vanessa Marcil
Lantano = Tahmoh Penikett
Terah =
Godking = Would love to see Michael Chikilas because he can do anything and still make you care
Roth = Elisha Woods

Okay so I have not gotten everyone yet though I am still working on it. And yes I know that I have put Browder and Black back together again but they are such wonderful actors I can just see them totally give these characters life on screen---plus I would not mind seeing them together again---hell they are two of my favorite actors ever! Long live Farscape and SG1!
I have also put David Tennent as Dorian because I can totally see him playing the conflicted emotions and not make this a character to hate.
I thought Bruce would make a terrific baddie.
Eliza would have Vi down so tight it would be insane and Jensen just plays to Kylar's strengths. Having Jonas as Logan gives him that royal, handsome look without making it all about appearances...Jonas would be able to give him those layers the HOLE created without destroying those morals we know Logan has. As for Elene...I think Lindze is perfect and I love her so much that maybe I could like Elene!
Okay so I am going to go and cook food for Thanksgiving but I will be back to tweek my list

*I have tweaked three names either by adding a new name to one I thought made a better choice or in the case of Lantano--I just keep forgetting his real name is not Helo! I will admit that Jensen and Jonas could play either role but when I hear the sacrasm in Kylar or feel his conflictions...Jensen keeps popping into my head. I am having a hard time with Jarl...all i see is older actors...I am trying though to find someone. As for Feir I am still working on it...

Durzo = Ben Browder
Momma K = Claudia Black

I think Black would make an awesome Momma K, I don't know if Ben could pull off Durzo. Though he could make a good Lord Gyre (Logan's Father)

That would be perfect !

Xavri-
Well thanks for seconding my pick for Momma K...as for Ben playing Durzo...I say that with confidence since I have seen how he can take on characters that are not ones we see him playing. Ben can do cynical, snide, caring, pain ridden, and still smile. He is an actor whose whole body speaks volumes even when he says nothing-the same goes for Michael Chikilas....both men say so much when not saying anything. Plus Ben's ability to take on accents and change his facial expressions make it look effortless...I love it when he smirks...to be honest that is how I saw Durzo while reading the book...

Yeah I guess you are right. I have always seen Ben as the selfless hero, be it in Farscape or SG-1 . Durzo is kinda anti-hero. It would be awesome to see Ben and Claudia working together for the third time. God I miss Farscape.

I'll have to get back to you with my list.

Okay I hope it did not sound like me brow beating Browder as Durzo...I just love him as an actor and I heard his voice when reading...
As for Farscape---still have not heard anything about the webisodes that SCIFI was supposed to be doing...and I am counting the days until the next SG1 movie and if he and Claudia aren't it I will be extremely pissed off.
YOur side my side =)

Speaking of Crichton...I never really saw him as the selfless hero...the poor hunk of man just kept ending up in the wrong place at the wrong time and his choices cost people their lives...I think that is why I see his face when I read Durzo...
I miss Farscape too because it was so ahead of its time---the writing, the acting, and the whole concept of a story told in five parts so that it would not drag on-but thanks to the wonderful people at SCIFI (who have canceled-should say not renewed-the best shows it ever had on that dumb channel) we only got four chapters---I still remember screaming at the tv when Crichton and Aeryn where scrambled for lack of a better word!

I don't know who I'd choose, but I think I disagree with all your choices heh.

Except for Tennant as dorian. I think that's a pretty good choice.

I don't know who I'd choose. It would have to be people who are pretty well built to play Durzo and Logan. In my eyes they were like built like rubgy players... Perhaps Gerard Butler as durzo. I think he could pull that off pretty well.

Oh, and you forgot Roth and the-other-person-who-the-actor-might-have-to-play-but-whos-name-i-havent-included-becasue-its-the-biggest-spoiler-in-the-book :P

Actually I did not forget Roth...I just did not have time to type up all the characters before I had to go and fix thanksgiving dinner....I will get a whole list out hopefully this week. As for Gerard---I see him if anything like Lantano not Durzo...Durzo has lived for 700 years...he needs a face that shows the wisdom, pain, dissappointment, and sneaky...I don't see him so much as a rugby player but a man who has visible scars and range. Don't get me wrong I love Gerard but this is not a 300 or Dracula....I do think he might make a good Lantano though. Thank you for playing...I love this stuff. I am a pretty visual person so I only throw these names into the hat because I really trust their acting...
These are the people I see when reading the story. I can see Michael as the Godking only because I know that he would bring that extra something to make the Godking not all out right evil.. That is why I loved this story...Brent had the brillant notion to let his characters have a slight bit of morality (well maybe not Roth) even when they are baddies.

Claudia Black is exactly the right actress for Momma K.

I thought William Mosely would make a good younger Logan but I think Jonas Armstrong is a much handsomer alternative xD

Jensen Ackles has the eyes for Kylar I think :3~ I think he would make a great Kylar, even though I've never seen him act I've seen him on the screen quite a few times. I guess he just has that Kylar "feel"

I don't know about Ben Browder I kind of thought Durzo seemed older to me but everyone's experience is a little different~

Vi and Momma K- YES! They are so cool looking and they fit so well at least in my opinion.

and David Tennant as Dorian=HELL YES

He would make me love Dorian even more

Hmm what about Uly?

I think Durzo should be played by someone like Hugh Jackman, he's played Van Helsing and Wolverine so I think this would be well suited to him

Jensen could make a good Kylar... Though Kylar seems to be quite a serious character. Keanu Reeves, perhaps?

I have no idea.. I need sleep

I'd love so see Sir Ian McKellen play Count Drake though
that would make my day... heheh
