Smile like you're guilty--it makes them nervious.

Well now, I suppose this is where I say a little something about myself. All right--why the hell not...

Originally, I'm from Montana. I've seen a nice chunk of the world, but not nearly enough. Currently, my family and I live in Colorado--which is where we will build our castle. Yes, you heard me right--we're building a castle. Well, technically that isn't true--a castle in specific terms is a defensable military structure, which is why a LOT of places are called castles that are truly nothing of the sort, and are simply products of "architectual uniqueness". That being said, I'm still calling ours a "castle". It will in fact have several traditional defensive mechanisms built into it, making it slightly more authentic than the typical stick-framed, faux-stone faced house that just-so-happens to have a radius wall somewhere...

All right, enough about that--before I carry-on far too long... Aside from martial arts since the age of about five, I've been a collector/practitioner/instructor of edged weaponry most of my life. Besides being an armor and weapon smith (as a hobby), I participate in various reinactment groups fighting in armored combat as well as rapier/live-steel eventing. When time/money/schedual doesn't allow me to travel all over the world, put on 60 lbs. of steel plate and join other 'nut-cases' like myself to beat the living bejesus out of each other, I write, work the pathetic current job that I hate (saus' chef) only because it keeps the bills caught up (sometimes), work in the wood shop carving a new 'masterpiece' of antique-style furniture (one of my other hobbies that I'm trying to develope enough to quit culinary all together), or cruising somewhere in the middle-of-nowhere on a winding stretch of country road with my wife on our motorcycle.

I have one major problem in life--too many interests without enough time for them all. If I am forced to live until I have accomplished all of my goals, I will never die.
