I'm not the typical fantasy fan. At least not evidenced by the number of fantasy books I've read in my 32 years. I have been reading for 28 of those, thanks to Montessori.
Here is my pitiful attempt to fit in:
-Have loved Lloyd Alexander books since the 5th grade
-Have read LoTR
-Have read Ender's Game
-Have read GRRM's Song of Ice & Fire series - though I wondered why I kept reading when I didn't really care about any of the characters.
-Started reading Jordan's first in the WoT series and didn't make it through the prologue. Maybe it was bad timing.
-Have read Harry Potter series
-Starting reading some fantasy book from the library that had an elk or stag headed person on the cover. It combined the mafia with some fantasy thing happening in the woods. I didn't finish that one and it bothers me to have left it incomplete, even though I didn't like it.
-Read first two of Jim Butcher's Harry Dresden books,
-Started reading Mistborn, but had to take it back to the library. Will return to the story soon!
-And the one to make you all jealous...I've read Black Prism (what's written of it so far) and it is AWESOME! You are going to love the characters and the magic and the way Brent twists your emotions into knots for the story!

I'm really here because I believe in Brent and in his story crafting gifts. Don't worry, I won't get all mushy, though I could certainly gush if you asked me to do so.
