My God, I just got done reading, for the third time, the "Rabbit's" battle of vengeance against the Khalidorans...
And how they kicked ASS! That part has really got to be my favorite part in the series so far. That just rocked.
I bet you all don't need me to tell you this, but Brent Weeks is an AMAZING writer.
He just brought that part of the book to LIFE.
I seriously got chills from reading that.
Well, I'm off... To read that part AGAIN.

Ah,, space. Being an ex-English teacher (not that we are ever x-ed) and a fantasy reader since - 1966 (read Tolkien before they were even in paperback or hardcover, for that matter) and a comedy performer/writer, Shakespearean actress, musician, etc. I am now an unemployed all above. Weeks looks young enough to have been a student when first I was a teacher. Who knows. I have read the first two books and am afraid to read the last. What say you? Dare I?

Anyone else notice the use of the color white in the trilogy? The spider on Azoth's leg in the beginning of Way of Shadows was white, as was the snake and the poison Kylar used to kill Durzo. Garoth Ursuul's wardrobe was white, as was the ermine cloak Dorian dropped when he first notices the Strangers among his army in the last book. Solon's hair turned white after using Curoch, and Vi aquires a streak of white hair after Khali is defeated. When Elene's body was taken over by Khali, the dress… Continue

She looked around her enclosure, seeing it with strangely familiar eyes. Everything was black and white, and eveything had suddenly become larger. Yet her mind remained the same. She could remember the intense pain, and the feeling of her limbs expanding and contracting. She was just sorry she had ruined that dress...
She turned around. Animal instincts took over. She jumped out of the window, and onto the soft grass. In the distance she could see the forest; her home during the night. She… Continue

She looked out of the window. The suns final rays were hitting the soft clouds, creating a beautiful orange glow. Yet she despised it. Sunset brought not only dark to her eyes, but a curse more powerful, painful, and frightning than anything she'd ever experienced before.
Behind her, Drake laughed maliciously.
"I told you never to go against me, my love. You put this upon yourself." he decalred.
She spun around, furious.
"Don't say that. Don't call me that! You lost the… Continue

What's it doing on the computer desk in the first place?!?!?
Have to go wipe this jam off.

OH HOW I DESPISE TIMEZONES.
And daylight savings.
I think Sydney and Melbourne are like, an hour ahead of us?
This is problematic, as all the cool people in America get on when I'm asleep.
It's not cool.
'Specially for roleplaying... D8
Damn, I don't want my holidays to be over. WHAI OH WHAIIII?!?!
Once again, another cause for frustration and sadness.
That is all.
You may leave now.

Ok this part directly follows on from the last part: Enjoy! :) Oh and sorry it's a little longer than the last part - I got a bit carried away :P
“You know me.” Elvira said, it wasn’t a question, but a statement. Kira looked caught between nodding and shaking her head,
“He said he was sending someone, but didn’t say who, where or even when.” She replied, clearly unsure as to whether she should show her annoyance for fear of becoming another target. Elvira didn’t have to ask who… Continue
