She looked around her enclosure, seeing it with strangely familiar eyes. Everything was black and white, and eveything had suddenly become larger. Yet her mind remained the same. She could remember the intense pain, and the feeling of her limbs expanding and contracting. She was just sorry she had ruined that dress...
She turned around. Animal instincts took over. She jumped out of the window, and onto the soft grass. In the distance she could see the forest; her home during the night. She ran, feeling her paws push the ground beneath her, behind her, and closing the distance between her and the tall, beautiful trees. At last she ran through the first line of trees, into the dark, dank safety of the forest, and she forgot all thought. There she would stay until dawn arrived...

Sitting on a wooden chair, Drake swirled his glass of wine, then took a sip. It was bitter, just as he, and he drank until there was no more.
"Chamberlain, wine!" he barked. "I need as much as you have, if I am to survive this night." I have to go back to her tomorrow, he thought. I must make her see reason. The Chamberlain rushed over with the glass bottle, and filled the glass.
"Master." he whispered as he walked away, knowing that if Drake became violent, it would be centered towards him.
In the distance, Drake heard a faint howl, not human, though not wolf-like, either, and it pierced his heart. It chilled him to the bone, and froze his blood, making him drop his glass. A single tear streamed down his cheek, and, embarrased, he wiped it away.
"Men don't cry." he told himself, whilst he got up, and walked towards his window...
