do a book sighing in carson city NV! please????? i love your books and i read the NAT three times! three!
i think your NAT books are a fresh take on a used topic like assassanation (dont think i spelled that right) and your story offers so much more then meets the eye. and your interaction with fans is above all the other authers out there! keep up the good work! ( P.S. i was also born in montana, so high five to montana boys!)
I am an enormous fan of your writing and consider you to be my favorite author. I read the entire Night Angel Trilogy in less than two days, nearly cried because it was over, and then immediately reread it. Unfortunately, none of my friends like the same kind of books as me, so they all thought I had gone completely insane (no surprise there ^^"). Anyway, I just wanted to say that you really are truly amazing!
So I'm a huge fan of the Night Angel Trilogy. I realized this last week when I bought my third set of hard copies of the series (I refer to them as hard copies because I also have the kindle edition). Why do I have to keep buying the series? Well, because I keep giving them as gifts to friends, of course! I love this series so much I have to pass it on to everyone I know. (Would you believe I picked the series up on a whim not long after the third book came out?)
I'm currently in my 6th reread of the series and it never gets old. Every time I read through it I experience something new. Sometimes it's a connection I never made before, or I see a detail that I missed, or I experience a new emotion. I think what I love most about this series is the emotions it sparks in me. I feel a connection of some sort to all of the characters and I'm always sad when I read the last page because I have to leave their world for a little while.
So thank you for creating this world and these characters. And thank you for giving me a series I can pass onto my friends. All I have to say is "Wetboy - think an assassin with magic" and suddenly they're devouring the series. It brings me great joy to see my friends not only enjoying something I do but also reading.
P.S: my favorite scene is in the third book, where Logan is forced to execute Kylar. I cry every single time. You're the first author whose writing has ever created that much of an emotional response in me.
This might be a weird question, but do you know if you you a relative (i believe younger than you) like cousin or something Named Brent as well who still lives in Michigan? I was just wondering cause theres a guy named Brent Weeks who's a member at my parents' boat club and the club i work at and i was like "That'd just be to fricken awesome"
So I am a film student from C.S.U. Monterey Bay and for one of my major classes we have to present our ideal film project, considering of course that budget was a non issue. Immediately, I decided that my ideal project would be to adapt the Night Angel Series into three part trilogy. Now of course there are hundreds upon hundreds of factors that would come into play if this was a reality, so the topic had to be narrowed. I believe that one of the greatest challenges a director would have when adapting your novel to film would be the visual style and the feel of the characters. Even though it is a fantasy novel the characters have a real depth to them and the world of Midcyru is brilliantly illustrated and feels real. My question to you is what time period did you research the most when you were writing the trilogy and creating Midcyru? When you were doing the research on the time period did it influence your character building process?
If you have the time I would really appreciate your input
KUDOS for writing this Durzo novella Mr Weeks!!! Must be tough writing a brand new series PLUS this short book!!! :D Well done, you know all of us here (plus more, who aren't as obsessive fans as us XD) think you are the coolest dooooood in the world for doing all you do, and we really REALLY appreciate your effort and devotion to your fans, characters, and books, and we wish you the bestest best for all that you do in the future!!!! Know that we got you on our pre-order list ;P literally, I begged my father to get me this new Durzo book for my birthday (which is in September YAYZ) so I hope he didn't skive off and go for the cheap less-awesome-amazing-OMG-worthy version which isn't signed and numbered and bound in leather XD *HUGS* (unless you think hugs are weird and not cool for a cool guy like you, in which case you get a knuckle-bump)
It's me again, the person who ranted about your books. Just posting to say that I finished reading The Black Prism and it was absolutely amazing. Again. Well done, sir, and please don't stop writing delightful books.
Question im sure you have been asked a numbr of times: When is the next book coming? Please release it soon. Read Black Prism and i want more. I have to know what happens to Gavin (The Dead Man) and Gavin (The Fake). I will be waiting. Not since The Night Angel Trilogy have i been this obsessed with a series.
